YO, 'SUP.

Long ago, during the start of the Great Poly Ages, a lowly player existed by the name of Dai. A lover of lolis, shotas, and all things shiny, she slipped off into Life for a well-needed ride on the Roller Coaster of Reality. Needless to say, roots eventually came a-callin' ~

GREETINGS POLYTES ...we still go by that, right?

Fresh b l o o d here. Not necessarily new, but it's been a very, very, very long time (read: years) since I've been part of poly. So, I'm pretty much new =D ~~I am so nervous alsdkjfa~~ Right!

I'm bringing with me a super hot almost-priest cyborg-vampire by the name of Charley from the manga Vassalord. His hobbies include hunting vampires, praying, reading the Bible, being annoyed to...well, not-death by his Master/Father/~~Lover~~/Roomie, and making feet sexy. No, seriously! Bad guys beware--this Catholic is about to invade.

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD

For reals. My first vacation that doesn't involve awkwardly sitting around with family members I barely know in YEARS. I'm going to act like a ten-year old and shove the haters to the left.

But that means hiatus. SO. I leave next Wednesday, but work is determined to kill me before then, so I'm going to semi-hiatus now just in case I disappear until the weekend. And go completely dark from next Wednesday to the Wednesday after that.

When it's closer and I have a better idea what's going on in-game, I'll post mod rights since I'm not sending Cinna or Mara home.

You know that barrier? The one that keeps the island fenced in, preventing anyone, anything from leaving?

It's going down.

Ben here is a convict, farmer, carnival roustabout and the avatar of light-- God's light. His current mission at home is to find his opposite, the usher, and prevent him from causing the apocalypse. Stuck here in the City since November, Ben's been percolating: pressure and nerves building and building. In a last ditch effort to escape the City, he will be tapping into the more enigmatic of his powers. That is, the power to channel God's will and influence the world. In canon, he stopped a dust storm - a classic black blizzard - in fit of anger. In the City, on account of the tumultuous events of late, he'll be able to access his powers and take down the barrier completely.

The barrier will go down tomorrow (28th) at mid-day. I'll post with Ben on the network announcing the barrier take-down. It may not be obvious who caused it based on the post, but by the end of the plot, citizens will certainly know who caused them so much trouble. (And if any characters wish to take actions against him in retaliation - i'd love to plan that!)

What does this mean for your character? A free ticket out of the City for unwilling citizens? Oh, just you wait. ♥ (This plot will tie into another plot run by the mods!)

Hello, POLYCHROMATIDS!

Specifically anyone who knows MARA, KEN, MERCY, CASPIAN, UMI or any combination thereof. If you are one of those people, you were invited to a party that's happening at Mara's (huge) house Saturday evening.

I will be putting up a log for it sometime tomorrow for everyone to make merry.

There will be a huge tree with little gifts (think of the $5-$10) variety for everyone who attends. People can just choose at random and muns can make up whatever they like. And if it's something they don't like, they can trade.
There will be a TON of food.
There will be music and dancing if you wish.

But most importantly, there will be MISTLETOE.

I'm about to head out for birthday shenanigan's, but if anyone has questions or would like to use this to plan, or just say, HI I'M COMING please, by all means.

Halloween Costumes

If you had a specific conversation with Cinna about a costume, you should have received a PM with reference images. If you did talk to Cinna and I didn't PM you, let me know and I will rectify that ASAP.

You don't have to use any of them, they're just... me being bored and spending time on Google images. Feel free to use whatever you like and say Cinna made it.

In fact, anyone can say that. Cinna's hired a few part-time NPC assistants and they've made a number of ready-to-wear costumes that you can purchase, covering most of the normal tropes and looking significantly better than anything out of a bag. You don't have to have had an IC convo with Cinna to get one.

If you have any questions OOC feel free to PM me, chat here, or use my contact info. If your character has questions IC, Cinna has a phone post on his journal.

...and now I'm going to go to sleep before I start making less sense.

Holiday shenanigans and a drop (sobs)

The good stuff first:

Caroling: Anna was organizing a caroling party to the childrens' ward of the hospital - with the holiday INSANITY that there is, I was thinking we might just want to hand-wave it and anyone who wants to say they came can say they came, and if anyone want's anything quirky and/or memorable to happen they can post it here so everyone can see. Otherwise, they met up Christmas Eve evening, they sang (more or less on-key) and the kids adored them.

PARTY: Anna's hosting X-Mas at her place, are you guys interested in logging that out? Y/N and if Y, I'll put that log up SOON so that we can tag it over the actual holiday and no one has to be waiting for it.

And the drop. As much as I love my elegant vamp, and still enjoy playing her, it's just really not the same without a crew so Promise is leaving effective today.

Blue: There are VERY detailed notes on the ledgers, as well as the payroll, for you or whoever you get to replace her (she planned ahead). Additionally, she asks that you hold her accounts in the event she, Niko or Cal should someday return. And if you could find homes for the cats, Hal and Hotspur, that would be awesome, otherwise.... eh, they're survivors, they'll find a way.

AAAHHH OMG TRAVELING MAKES ME NERVOUS

L-LOL, another Otakon hiatus announcement. XD I know I'm technically already on hiatus, but I wanted to make sure to put another announcement up since things have changed considerably for Chrono in the last few days, and so does what he'll be doing because of it. :)

I'll be on a complete and full hiatus from July 15th (tomorrow) until July 20th (Monday). I won't have a computer with me and probably won't be leeching off of others much, so yeah.

Ahiru (

quackingly) will be doing her usual things--feeding ducks, practicing ballet, arguing with Fakir and secretly flirting with him at the same time, fretting over Rue, etc etc. The Princess Tutu crew has godmodding rights.
Chrono (

tenmorehours), on the other hand, will be a very busy demon. He's just found a building for his bakery (off-screen) and will be working to fix it up, while following Rosette around like a lovesick puppy and carefully keeping tabs on Shader to make sure she's settling in OK (and also probably trying to make sure Aion won't be using her). Not to mention probably stuffing both full of cookies. Godmodding rights go to Rosette, Shader, Shiki and Akiha.
When I come back, expect developments on the bakery. ;) (If I don't, I SWEAR...)

I won't be wearing costumes to the con except on Saturday, buuut...if you see a glasses-wearing brunette with a blue FLCL bookbag that seems to be slightly overdressed for the con? That's probably me. XD (I'm attempting to wear cute outfits since I couldn't cosplay this year.)
However, on Saturday, for at least part of the day I'll be wearing a girl!Chrono outfit. With a red miniskirt. And probably a different wig because I wrecked my Chrono wig (oops). I'll still have the FLCL bag, too.

I'm so sorry to have to leave just as we got some new crew members. ;-; I'll try to be super-active when I get back to make up for my lack of activity lately.

He's coming into the City right as he's supposed to teleport to Sylar and kill him at the end of season one.

Moreover, a few notes:

1. As far as his powers go, since fucking up with the timeline would really... screw things up in Poly, Hiro will not have the power to move forward or backward in time. He will, however, be able to freeze/slow time and teleport within the City as desired (and of course, depending on his will/mood).

2. I'm going to be nice and give Hiro his laptop from home, meaning... you might see embedded music videos of Britney Spears... Morning Musume... :D

3. Remember when I had Switch [

thatsourswitch]? It looks like I've got another wall-breaker among my pups! Since, canonically, Hiro posts a blog in which every other sentence is some type of reference to a comic/game/TV show, please help by giving me your fourth wall permissions! Thanks muchly~ ♥

4. In light of the blog that NBC put together for Hiro (you should read it, it's quite hilarious), Hiro will be using a Japanese-to-English translator for his posts, and will be using emoticons quite liberally as well. Apologies to those who dislike emoticons! D:

Aloooooooha, POLYtes, and welcome to your Saturday Morning Headdesk Session. All systems: GO.

I've set up a NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS TRHEAD, just in case people would like to declare those plots / parties / whatnot that they'd love to get some advertisement for. It's by no means obligatory for anyone to do so, so just ogle it at your discretion.

In addition, please feel free to attend the Light Yagami VS Greed trial tomorrow, hosted by dearest Paracelsus. While you should clear out details with either party's legal rep if you wanna have your character testify either way on the Greed - Cheza issue, anyone is welcome to attend as an observer.

Assumed trial for-the-win, to all appearances. Greed was found guilty on the charge of being entirely too naughty with a minor, and sentenced to two weeks of complete power loss. Should have caused some amount of riot right there, so - feel free to mention it? Someone should cheer up poor homunculi in need.

At the same time, be on the look out for Warden nominations today!
