Teeny plot?

Gabriel has now been in the City for nearly a week, and the ticking is getting to him, no matter what he said in his first entry.

What does he do about this? Well, what most antisocial bastards would do. KIDNAP SOMEONE!

He would be looking for someone fitting these criteria:

Male
Adult
Human (or at least looking fully human) or elf (or elf-looking)
No apparent powers
Not always surrounded by other people

The zombie rogue would follow them invisibly for a day, and then knock them out and drag them back to his current residence - a cellar. Blindfolded and tied up, the poor bastard would be 'company' to Gabriel until they break free (by their own or freed by friends).

screaaaaa i am really tempted to go for this, because... i suffer warcrack withdrawal I like making Frankie miserable?... but I think I'd need to run it by a few of the people who'd be inclined to bust him out first :X

He's a soldier and an ex-vampire, but if Gabriel got the jump on him he's not really any tougher than the average human, so i think it has potential... 8)

Gabe is kind of a devoted killer of The Man, so... =P

...but yeah, probably away from the Opera House. He's trained to find traps so he'd probably give it a wide berth when he sees that it is well-defender.

He's actually completely human.

I think technically he has a psychic predisposition towards possession by and communication with ghosts and spirits (in other words, he's sort of a medium in embryo--?), but he hasn't yet been told this--and, anyway, when he does hear this, it's from another medium whom he trusts only about as far as he can throw...so he might not ever really believe it.

Well, whenever you'd like to! I'm pretty flexible and I've got a few long-range plots, but this won't interfere with them. So any time you'd like.

Cain leaves the opera house where he lives a fair amount. He's the owner (and de facto manager) of the Turnabout Cafe (which is some distance away from the opera house) and he runs a number of errands pretty regularly and he walks a lot. So, tl;dr: he's out and about a lot of the time, so there are plenty of opportunities to grab him. He's even out at night if you prefer that.

Any time you want to have our friend Mr. Gabriel catch him is fine with me. And if you want to, idk, play it out or anything, that's fine with me too. Just let me know.

I do have a couple of questions, though (natch): in the end, will this kill him or just mess him up? I'd been under the impression that it wouldn't kill him, but if it's going to end up with him dead, I think I'll have to make my apologies and back out. I just can't do that to him. If it just messes him up (I'm even fine with some minor injuries), then I'm all for it. I guess I'm just wondering some about the details of being "company" for charming Mr. Gabriel.

Also, I can work out most of the rescue and/or escape bits, but to facilitate that, would it be possible for Cain to keep his Network device with him? He has one that's more or less like a cellphone or a smartphone. He wouldn't be able to use it well or easily, but he could post a garbled message about something having happened. It'll attract attention.

If that doesn't quite jive with your ideas for this plot, no problem! I know I can come up with a scheme for the escape/rescue. And I'll let you know what gets planned out, of course.

Night would be preferable, since there are less witnesses. Gabe might be able to turn invisible but lugging a body kind of breaks stealth.

Of course! There would be no killing or even hurting (aside from uncomfortableness from being tied up) unless you wish for it. As for the network device, that's fine - he can post a message before Gabe throws it in a corner or something =P

Any kind of rescue attempts are just fine! He can take a whole lot of beating or just slink off into the shadows.

Okay--that works! Cain is often out in the evenings or after dark--either coming back from the cafe in the evening or just because...he's out after dark. It's his nature.

And thank you! A bit of hurting is okay, if it comes to that. No problem there! I just wanted to check. As for the device: sounds great. He could keep it hidden on his person, somehow manage to get it out, post a message and then...yes, Gabe, toss that thing in the corner.

I'll get some word out re: the impending kidnapping and will work out some rescue/escape details and let you know (I need to get on the machine that lets me use Plurk and AIM and stuff hurr).

Hmm... I could do either, as you prefer. I know it's sometimes easier with action tags. And I'm fine with doing action tags, though if we go that route, would it be possible for the actual capture to take place today (that is, Jan. 2) rather than yesterday (Jan. 1)? Just because of the way the current comment threads are going in that post, it would just be easier for me to keep everything straight ;; It's kind of a non-issue, really |D
