EXPEDITION PLOT/random slowatus

Some of you may have noticed I dropped off the face of the community. I've been having RL things and muse issues as usual, but I think I'm ready to hop back in, so if it's all right I'll be backtagging Luke's grab bag post from June. You can ignore those tags if you want... it's been a while. ;;

Other than that, I have some plotting things to get moving that are a month late. Sorry, mods! There's no strict timeline on this one though, so I figured it was best to wait a bit. I'll be making an IC post drumming up interest over the network in a day or two, but this also has an OOC component.

EXPEDITION PLOT!

Some of you may recall the barrier plot in Spring. The barriers went down and harpies invaded the City, and it was very nasty business. But while the barrier keeps bad things out, it also keeps things in. Luke wants to know what's past that barrier, and he wants YOUR help.

The loose plan is this: with enough people together, particularly some with the ability to control magic, Luke's group should be able to manipulate part of the barrier to let his team by. They will have enough supplies and food to last for two to three weeks, so this is a commitment!

Luke will be pinging the network specifically for those who are adept at adventuring, as well as those with knowledge of the barrier or shields in general. He has the Key of Lorelei thanks to the most recent plot, and his twin is here, but even that's not enough. So he'll need as many people as he can get.

TL;DR: Luke's goals include the following:

1. Form a small, effective group of adventurers.
2. Find a temporary way past the barrier.
3. Spend about two weeks exploring the world outside of the barrier, and then bring this information back to the residents.

TIMEFRAME: There's no set date for this plot as of yet, but it should equal about three weeks OOCly and ICly-- not including backtagging. Like I said, it's a bit of a commitment, so I only suggest signing up one character.

LIMITATIONS: I originally envisioned a group of ten adventurers max, but I can roll with more. It would defeat the purpose if fifty people came with, but twenty isn't out of the question. I'm honestly more concerned with finding enough magic-oriented types to help Luke with the barrier.

Luke doesn't want to take anyone who's under the age of fifteen (though exceptions can be made), anyone who's super sick or doesn't have the constitution to camp out for a couple weeks, or villains. Drink your evil tea somewhere else.
