PLOT TIME

Okay, so it's not exactly huge or grand or any other synonyms referring to something and being large and awesome, but it is canon. See, Brennan is an Elemental of Electricity. As such, his power is one of the most unstable in his world. It's strong, able to wipe out an entire city's power grid, but when it fluxes, it's highly unpredictable and very dangerous, that is until his brain catches up with the growing mutation and he's able to control it again.

That means that, starting Tuesday and lasting for a week, there is a very powerful Electrical Elemental in your City, whose powers are very closely linked to his emotions, and whose emotions are usually running on high. Couple that with the fact that he's recently made a deal with the deities that resulted in him giving up coffee for two weeks (he usually spends about 50 bucks a week on it alone), he's got a really short fuse.

What does that mean for your characters? Well, have they ever been struck by lightning? Ever wanted them to be? Three lucky citizens will have the chance. I will say this: It's up to you whether they're just injured or actually killed by the blast. Remember, though, this isn't a curse, so if they die, they will be City!Dead and have all the trappings afforded by that condition.

Volunteers

1. Raikov [livejournal.com profile] hidesinrestroom  - at Turnabout Cafe injured
2. Rinoa [livejournal.com profile] reparateur - at Turnabout Cafe injured
3. Anthony [livejournal.com profile] coffeenspeed - Turnabout Cafe injured

Now, a note to the lucky three: The initial explosion will be taking place at Turnabout Cafe. Whether or not you want them hurt/killed during that or a subsequent flux later in the week, just let me know. This is a plot TLDR, so we are free to discuss~

Demo of Flux

As always, Mun tested, Mod Approved~

She'd more likely than not find a way to ground him to the earth as electricity isn't something that's really tangible. Probably wrap a big meatal pole around his leg and stick it in the ground.

But she'd use her power at the same time to keep others back and off the ground to keep the current from traveling to them.

Unless the ground is compromised - I was thinking wires/pipes in the floor @ the coffee shop as well as side flashes - when lightning skips the surface of the ground before it dissipates and completely goes to ground.

Or she could set a lightening rod nearby, or take him somewhere he won't harm others.... however you want or don't want her helping, she's available.

Ahhhh... so his powers so whatever the writers want it to do with a passing and occasional nod at science as opposed to actually working with it.

Gotcha.

So however you want to do it then, is fine by me.

Heh.

Well, like I said, we can play it however you want - I just need to know what you want to happen - do you want her to be able to help? Or would you rather Rachel stayed clear, or failed...? I just don't want to jump in and do something counter to your plans.
