 Hey all, so there's this really interesting curse tomorrow if you haven't checked out the new calendar yet. And, it might make for the perfect new CR opportunity!

 Seven Minutes in Heaven
You remember that old game your friends used to force you to play. For a day two citizens who enter a room, bathroom, closet, any manner of small empty area together, are locked in there until midnight. Best use the potty before hand mn? 


So who's to say we can't have the worst people possible stuck together for the day? Why not post here looking for that perfect foil to your character? They are most likely looking for you as well. Terrible things, or the worst possibly wonderful things, should happen.

 So today is the 8th -- I know it's kind of late for this but -- and there's the curse coming up. I'm new here, so I don't know exactly what happens, but I'm somewhat used to events like this. I was just wondering, I was thinking about doing Harry Potter Puppet Pals [HPPP] for the curse today but I'd like to know if anyone would like to join him. This would also be a nice way to meet people ICly and I think Ikuto really needs that right now.

I presume Ikuto will be re-enacting Snape because he comes in first, but I really don't mind who he re-enacts as. So far:

SO. The idea here is to comment with characters you would like to see.

They do not have to be from a canon you play from. They don't even have to be from a canon currently in-game. It'd be cool to see some new ones even, right? What better time for a test-drive? Fourth wall doesn't come around so very often, which makes it all the more fun, and special, and worth taking advantage of, yes? Maybe someone just needs that gentle nudge in the direction of finally uploading those icons, or making that username, etc, etc, etc. YOU NEVER KNOW.

I don't know if I'm going to have internet enough to post a proper entry and thought using a NPC would be kind of lame, so who wants to get hit on by a Logan for today's curse? Only requirements being: above 16 & female & a redhead (natural preferred). Your character will get out of this deal: lots of hot sex and bragging rights.

As an update on the internet situation, my home wireless network has completely disappeared, I have no idea why, and since I live in student housing and the thing came bundled with my utilities there's nothing I can do about it until my building manager decides to do something. I've been mooching off of an unreliable open network nearby and right now I'm on campus. So sorry to all those I haven't tagged since a couple days ago, I'll get to them when I can, they are staring at me accusingly from my inbox.

For the record: yes, he has been in the City before, but it was a brief affair and he won't remember any of it.

On to the next order of business: tomorrow's curse, and Aigis's role in it.

Tomorrow, as the circus curse continues, Aigis--a robot from a game with lots of Tarot symbolism--is going to be a coin-operated fortune-telling device, reading a character's Tarot for two Reds a pop. This can go one of two ways!

One: if you fill out the form below and comment here, I can do my best to whip up a Tarot reading full of symbolism about your character. Please note: there will be no concrete information about the future presented here, just philosophical ponderings for your enjoyment as a player (and possibly for your character to muse on later). Aigis isn't a seer; she just comes from a canon that relies on the Tarot a lot. Also note: while the cards may say something insightful about your character, Aigis herself will be pretty clueless and won't even realize the implications of most of what she's saying.

Two: if you comment on tomorrow's post spontaneously, I'll come up with your character's reading on the spot and try to make some sense of it anyway. This adds a certain element of randomness to the whole deal. Sure, Character A's reading may say something alarmingly insightful about their inner spirit, but Character B's reading is ridiculous. What do you believe?

If you end up missing this post but still want a more meaningful reading for your character, or if you change your mind at the last minute, just indicate it OOCly when you comment tomorrow. This post just gives me more time to prepare.

So tomorrow is a curse day.

18; Red vs. Blue
Enter a 24 Hour game of Citywide capture the flag, except er... whose flag and where are those flags? Maybe that's why the deities are devoting an entire day to this battle complete with armor and weaponry. Who's Red and who's Blue? Do you even know who's really on your team? Does it even matter? [Said weaponry's effective only on other citizens with minimal environmental damage. Halo-style armor and weapons are optional; characters can use their own in-game weapons if they have them. Characters killed because of this curse can respawn within minutes and will for the entire day be exempt from City!Death.]

Okay, but what's the news here? Well, the Gundam casts (that's the Gundam 00 cast plus Kira) and the Magic Knight Rayearth cast are throwing a party. Sort of.

Since characters can use non-Halo weapons (just without the capability to cause major property damage), we're going to have a big crazy mecha showdown. Okay, so it'll mostly be crazy to us, since characters down on the ground are entirely welcome to ignore it and go about having fun with the curse or their daily routines instead. But it's still a pretty big thing that you can definitely have your characters notice if you want to, so here are the details and what you can do with them. ( Under the cut! )

Two things.

First, to get it out of the way quickly, a drop. ;_; Sheryl's going home. I love her, but I've never quite had the desire to RP her that would make it fun. Despite my attempts to get her involved in things, it's become a chore to post and tag with her. To the Network at large, she leaves one last recording of one of her songs; to Youko in particular, she leaves an unfinished message beginning Thank you for the-- and that's it.

So friend remove hopedanddreamed or hover over hopedanddreamed. Thanks to whoever bought her paid time back in March; I appreciated it.

Second, the current day (well, tomorrow for me, since I haven't gone to bed yet, but I'm terrible like that) is the Kodomo no Hi curse, which some of the Gundam 00 cast is exploiting for an AU. This isn't a huge plotty thing, but if anyone else who's joining in the AU antics could use a shadowy, feared band of ronin to make reference to: the mysterious group known as "Tengoku no Hito," consisting of three unidentified ronin who go into battle masked and hidden against more honorable samurai, is in town. So if you're taking part in the curse and you need some sort of villains to fear, swear to protect people from, or complain about, Tengoku no Hito fits the bill--even if no one would recognize them unmasked, and even if they believe they're fighting for a noble cause.

For tomorrow (March 12)'s curse: It's a mystery and few people know how to solve it. Someone's dead and there are suspects ready to be investigated whether it's a film noir caper or as complex as clue. Clearly exempt from the City!Death |D Suspects, Victims, and Detectives and the whole shebang can be organized amongst players and characters offered up for grabs heeeeeeeeere.

I (RUTH) am really bad at predicting future activity levels, so this is a bit belated, but the next few weeks are going to be a tad rough on the school side of things so I shan't be around as often as I should. As always, if you need/want me for something send me an email beforehand so I can plan ahead to be there. I'm a very friendly person, I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it. And sorry for all the tags I've dropped recently, I think I lost a few on Teddy's last post, just drop me a link if you want to continue.

That said, I'm slotting off next Monday, Nov 24, for the 4th Wall curse because I'm planning on bringing George back for just the one day. Mark it on your calendars, kiddies.

As you know the Shelley curse day is coming up and I'm actually pretty stoked on it. Dr Keller is going to wake up that morning believing that she has lived her whole life as a patchwork - think Frankenstine's monster but with more mismatched skin - and I'm having a lot of fun making icons for it. However she does need some mad scientist creator type and she'll be day dreaming about leaving the safety of their home without the fear of village mobs. I'm not exactly sure what else she'll be doing all day but it should be a good time.

Once upon a time there was an Annwyd, who had fun on a Poly. Then an evil dragon came and stole her from the Poly, and she vanished, never to be seen again. :( Or at least not to be seen very much for a month. It sucked.

Okay, so the dragon is a medication that I didn't get along with, but still, my point stands: I've been on semi-hiatus for the past month or so, and it's been more hiatus than semi. I'm pretty sad about it, because "right before HMD" isn't the best of times to go on hiatus. Especially when it's "right before HMD, while a big plot is happening."

However! I think I am about ready to come back. I'm feeling a bit under the weather today, so I'll still be slow tonight and possibly tomorrow, but I should be able to get back into the swing of things shortly.

Coming back with me:

Omar (blue_satin_pjs), who has been doing his usual thing in the Underground...until today, at least, more on which shortly.
John (lullabyoflondon), who's been harassing authority figures, drinking with anybody who can tolerate him, and coming up with the money to pay the rent in mysterious ways best left unexplained.
Azula (andincendiary), who's been kicking puppies and setting flowers on fire when not keeping an eye on Zuko.
Garak (even_the_lies), who's been doing odd jobs to get by and trying to resist the inevitable need to get a real job here and settle in for the long haul.

But before I go, a note on Omar.

For today's curse, he's been role-reversed into being a dealer in the black market--primarily drugs, but also general illegal things. Y'know. Stuff. I'm not posting with him partly because I'm not feeling well right now, but also because...well, he wouldn't advertise it on the Network. He's still discreet, even outside his usual role.

This brings up two possibilities:
a) If you play a character who normally deals on the black market (whatever might be their commodity), feel free to volunteer them here as the one who swapped with Omar.
b) Omar is going to forget the events of today tomorrow until someone jogs his memory. So if you want to say that he arranged to sell one of your characters something, let me know here--we can have some RP later when he, uh, fails to deliver.

-Anyway-, I'm sure a couple of you blokes remember this face? <3 Welcome -back- Dwayne, of Little Miss Sunshine fame. He'll retain all his memories of the City, but he'll wtf like nobody's business.

Someone help him, since his idk, my BFF Arion? is missing? <3 ;-; He wants to see Rose badly too. He'll be making an appearance tomorrow, since, y'know, epic curse of epic.

Do that hover trick!!...those of you that didn't unfriend him from the last time, you're excused. XD

So the "When You Were Dumb" curse is on Sunday. After some thought, I've decided that Omar's going to be affected, and how. Thing is, I'll need some cooperation.

Omar's bad side is most evident when he's on the warpath for vengeance. Canonically this only happens when someone he cares about gets killed because of him, or when his enemies mess with his grandma (...don't ask). Thanks to the curse, though, his perception of what deserves vengeance is going to get...kind of scrambled.

So, here's the summary: Omar's going to go on the warpath, and to do this, he needs to believe that he's avenging a friend or friends. Except he won't be; said friend will have merely been kind of slighted, or even have no damn clue what's going on at all. (Depending on who wants to get involved, of course.)

Here's what I need: someone who wants their character to be the target of Omar's ~wrath~ for a day. I don't mind if it's someone who could theoretically squish him like a bug, powers-wise; he wouldn't come at you directly anyway, and the curse should end in time for him to flee like hell with only minor horrible maimings injuries. ;D Just...no one who definitely would squish him like a bug, please, because I'd like to keep him alive for now.

Multiple someones are also okay, although it's best if you're connected in some way so he can think of you as a big group he has to go after.

For the record, people he considers "friend" enough to avenge: Faye, Rose Walker, Tony, Emmett, Saya, Jan Valentine, & he's still undecided on the Corinthian. I don't actually need the participation of any of them--the slight could be entirely imagined, thanks to the curse--but if they want to participate, that's cool too.
