Way for me to sleep the day away. So it's like 3 AM and nobody's awake but oh well. I'm bringing in Okuzaki Akira from My-HiME. That's right. Sekrit Ninja~!

She is a she, but she dresses like a he. Binding the chest (which is easy at 13), high collars, loose clothes, deeper voice, the whole thing. There is a reason for that, info provided HERE. She actually fooled everyone in the series, so nobody here should know she's a girl unless they're psychic or something. If that's the case, though I doubt it'll be a problem, I'd rather her secret not get out without talking to me first~! I don't plan on keeping it a secret forever obviously but I'd like to know when it no longer is.

She's coming in after Episode 20, so she will be emo until she sees Takumi. In which there will be an aneurysm. She did lose her HiME powers, but judging off the Sailor Moon-ey series twist, her powers should return when she sees Takumi 'alive' here. ...Sans heartbeat. Whut.

It's their love for their most important person, which CAN change. Akira's might have been a love for her family and their traditions in general at the beginning. The stronger the love, the stronger the Child...in theory. There are plot holes ahoy, but what series doesn't have them?

I enjoyed watching it, I just always thought it was a 'red string of fate' type issue, since both Mai and Natsuki are suprised to find out that Yuuichi is their Key.

You mean Mai and Shiho? Shiho was never surprised by it...

I'm not sure about the red string thing. That seems to be up to fanon interpretation. Some say Takumi was Mai's most important person, along with Akira's, but when he died it went onto the next one since,which was Yuuichi, Mai still had her Child. And Yuuichi was then Mai's and Shiho's.

Uh...maybe? It's been 3 years since I saw the series so I'm probably not remember everything exactly as it was, so I could be wrong :P.

Wasn't the twin-pistols chick's key Yuuichi for a bit? Or am I confusing things?

Er, Natsuki? No. She had a thing with Shizuru. Double HiME lurve. I don't know, maybe you're thinking of the manga or something, because I know it tells a different version of the story and I've never read it.

You should probably rewatch it though. Seems like your memory is hella fuzzy.

Yea, was poking around on the wiki article, I'm confusing the two. Natsuki and Mai share Yuuichi as a key in the Manga, not in the anime.

Yea, I watched the anime first, it was really good, and I looooved the music. I have the soundtrack somewhere. Then read the manga probably a year or so ago...

I remember that after watching My HiME my comment to my roomy at the time was, "You need to watch this series. It's made of awesome and you do not expect the second half."
