Okay, so I've been here for all of three days. But I am nevertheless offering up a small diversion for anyone who is interested. ♥
Basically, late tomorrow night (sometime between 10 and 11:30, most likely, depending on how my schedule works out), Omar's going to trip over something in the Underground. Specifically, he's going to wander into a nest of mini-dragons.
These are scaly serpentine beasts about the size of ponies with nasty pointy teeth, big sharp claws, and stubby little wings that could never get their bulk off the ground. Not unlike small yappy dogs, they have inferiority complexes about their inability to measure up to "true" dragons. I mean, they can't even fly, much less breathe fire. If only someone would tell them that they're just fine as they are!
But alas, no one ever has, and so when they get an intruder in their midst, they get pretty pissed off (he's probably judging them for not being dragony enough, anyway). And they don't just take it out on him--no, they follow his path back through the Underground and start rampaging.
What does this mean for your characters? Well, nothing, unless you want it to. The Underground's a big place--a bunch of little serpents having violent hissyfits aren't going to do much to it overall. If you want to do something with this? You can run into a mini-dragon. Or two or three, if one's not a challenge. Then you can fight it, or run from it, or try to talk to it about its issues (they don't speak human[oid] languages very well, but an exceptionally likable and determined character might be able to get some degree of communication). Whatever! It's up to you.
If you're not going to be around tomorrow night, don't worry. It'll take the mini-dragons some time to calm down entirely, so if you want, you can still run into one or two the next day. (But not after that, 'cause then it's just getting ridiculous.)
Anyway, if you want any more details to play with, ask me. In the meanwhile, thank you all for putting up with my fumbling around in getting used to LJ RP. It's been fun so far ♥
Edit: Uh, and just so you know, I've run this past the mods first; it's approved.
