Hey guys! I hope you're having a fantastic grab bag weekend so far.

A few things-- it seems there are at least a few people who would like a ~holiday gala~ kind of event, and our beautiful mods have just given me the clearance to host one! Ideally, I'd like to set this up in true Tony Stark fashion.

Meaning everything is just over-the-top. To do this, I would like a few-- volunteers?

♫ Magicians/Wizards/Witches/Warlocks/People who can enchant things. I'd like cool floaty stuff and cool effects (like snowfall that 'disappears' when it touches anything solid? Can that happen??) Floating lanterns, twiiinkling stars that aren't actually stars, that kind of thing. TONY KNOWS YOU MAGIC PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE COME HELP MAKE HIS EVENT COOL AND MAGICY.

♫ Fire users/fire manipulators/fire benders/and perhaps more wizards to manipulate fire for the night time fireworks show.

♫ Musicians. LIVE ENTERTAINMENT IS THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT.

♫ Waiters/waitresses/a caterer/bodyguards! For those who want to earn a bit more money and don't care to dress up? A way to be forced to go and mingle? A bit of warning: waitresses will probably be given sexy uniforms to wear. This is Tony Stark.

♫ Wondering if anyone would be interested in having this be a charity ball kind of thing as well. Characters can make donations... (are raffles classy?) and the proceeds go to a character-run organization? Like the academy, the welcome center, the youth center, etc etc.

I think that's about it. Of course, volunteers don't necessarily have to... do anything. It's just an IC event-building kind of thing I guess? If anyone wants/needs any ideas for posts or needs an excuse to force an unsocial character to a social event.

I'm thinking of making a tampered open log on maybe the 22nd/23rd? Then have the IC date be the 23rd to avoid um. Everyone showing up drunk.

I am 100% open to suggestions (especially on how I should go about setting up the tampered log) and if anyone has any concerns please tell meeeee. Should there be a giant holiday tree in the middle or is that too exclusive and Christmas-oriented?

Pretty much I just want to see everyone picking out nice dresses and suits for their characters :(

I think I'll go with this, then! Standard tickets can be like...what... an orange for adults? Free for the underaged? VIP can be...a... green? Idek how many cups of coffee that is.

As the city money conversion goes, I seem to recall orange is like a dollar? And then a green is...I think twenty, blue is fifty...lemme just go get the money chart BRB. >>

alkdjas LMAO OH MAN I kept thinking of a cup of coffee as being like... $5 because I get my coffee at Starbucks. OKAY THEN how about... regular is like... two greens. And a VIP pass is...a violet and a blue?

I dunno, I always just assumed that an orange was like a dollar for easy math and that the cup of coffee was like...your basic cuppa joe, IDK.

Yeah, I'd go at least a green for the standard ticket since, I mean, my middle school dances made me shell out at least five bucks a ticket and we're assuming this is a little above a middle school dance here. And then yeah, go money on the VIP ticket because, well, the VIPs will pay it. Probably the best way to do it is to look at the kind of stuff that will be available for people? And then figure, like, okay, what's the value difference between the basic package and the superfly tricked-out cool people package, and price it accordingly.

Or maybe that's too much thinking about a fun little event and you should just charge whatever you want, go wild.

P.S. I think you should actually call it the superfly tricked-out cool people package just saying.

I actually like trying to work this out in a reasonable way though! I don't know what a good dividing line is between the two tickets, but I'm sure I'll think of something. Hell, maybe even the-- indigo? Is that the most important one? Especially if he's gonna throw in tech for it.

And the universe was like where is Pepper to keep things like this from hitting the final print.

Indigo's like half a month's rent, I think, so yeah, that's getting up there. But oh my god, the promise of Stark tech in exchange for the ticket, I am in love with this idea ~~and not just because Rosella hates technology, oh no~~. I think you are on an excellent track here. o/
