(no subject)

I'm afraid the time has come to let Maria go back (and back and back and back) to her mother and her canon (it's a naninani no Naku Koro Ni canon, so there's a lot of going back). I've been slipping more and more with her and I'm just not feeling like I can play her the way she ought to be played. She deserves more and better, even if I'm sending her back to dark and worse (it'll be all right in the end, though).

She's had a fantastic run in the City and has changed and grown in ways that I could have never anticipated--from arriving with her mother to enduring their separation to being adopted by Nekozawa and then being adopted by Angela to running into innumerable dangers and delights in the City (imaginary families, deadly trains, raining cakes, magic clubs, Halloween, cross-canon magic discussions), she's had far more adventures than I ever expected her to have.

Thank you so much to everyone who has tagged with her and put up with her bizarre verbal tics (third person and "uuu"?). Just so you know, that "uuu" is a magic spell to make people happy. So "uuu" at all of you.

For anyone who comes to look for her after tonight, she will be gone. But, because the City is a total troll, this image will be drawn on the floor of her room.

This is the Seventh and Last Pentacle of the Sun from the Key of Solomon: "if any be by chance imprisoned or detained in fetters of iron, at the presence of this pentacle, which should be engraved in Gold on the day and hour of the Sun, he will be immediately delivered and set at liberty." So goes the custom, at least. Maria's favorite witch, Beatrice, possibly uses this pentacle and its power to escape a locked room (possibly, if magic exists, &c). And here it is on the floor of her room after her "escape" from the City. Feel free to comment on this phenomenon if you so choose.

In her room there will also be pages and pages and pages of other spells and kinds of magic that Maria has learned about in the City, with extensive childish notes and remarks on the same. She took her own grimoire back with her, but her City notes will stay here.

And, finally, there will be pages and pages and pages and pages of pictures of Maria with everyone she's met in the City--she's been drawing these for quite some time, as children do like to draw pictures of themselves and their friends. Angela's artistic encouragement and support certainly helped (and there are quite a few drawings of Maria and Angela in particular).

So thank you again, everyone, for playing with her (or tolerating her ah ha ha). Thank you in particular to Starrah for your amazing and patient Angela and all her dealings with this creepy little kid. It did Maria wonders, really. Thanks for playing all of their strange adoptive relationship out with me. It was amazing. I think it made Maria happy for the first time in a long time.

I've had a fantastic time playing this creepy little loli with her obsession with witches and her "uuu"ing, but the time has come. She might come back around on 4th Wall Days. But, until then...

And Uuuu~!!♥
