SO maybe it goes without saying but I am back in the right state, which means that these guys:

Brian Moser :: Dexter :: [livejournal.com profile] cold_dry_pieces
Allison Cameron :: House M.D. :: [livejournal.com profile] as_damaged
Neil Perry :: Dead Poets Society :: [livejournal.com profile] had_not_lived
Frankie Dalton :: Daybreakers :: [livejournal.com profile] never_very_good
Tommy Shepherd :: Young Avengers:: [livejournal.com profile] team_sociopath

are back. Otakon was pretty rockin'! We saw some Poly peeps; Neil Perry stole Cain's hat; and we learned that Neil's theater has really gone downhill since showing A Midsummer Night's Dream. obligatory twilight joke is obligatory. BE FOREWARNED THOSE ARE MASSIVE PICTURES because I'm too lazy to edit and reupload them right now.

I am doin' what I can to get caught up on what I missed, but feel free to prod me if there're things you think I ought to know! And now, back to your regularly scheduled craziness. /loves all over you!

Okay this is going to sound totally pathetic but I'm a con noob so:

What...exactly is there to do at conventions, other than shenanigans with entirely cool people? Like, what do you do all day? Is it like the anime/comics version of a Renaissance Festival?

I need to know for the sake of potentially selling a traveling buddy on this.

BEHOLD. THE WEBSITE

So yeah. There are panels and discussions, screenings, autograph sessions, Q&A dealies, dealers, artists alley... yeah.

Truth be told, I mostly just hang out with entirely cool people. XD

Oooooooooooooo.

Nifty! Some of those panels look really cool, too.

There are some totally neat things! I... actually am more interested in panels and such at NYCC than I was at Otakon (I am old and a lot of my favorite series are now too old to get attention XD).

BUT YES it's an awesome time and you should be there.

So it's cool people hanging out being cool and getting up to shenanigans and taking lots of hilarious pictures and occasionally going to lectures if they feel like it.

........

It's like a condensed version of college!
