Well kids, let's play a game. I call it

WHO WANTS TO BE A VAMPIRE?

...i swear that was funnier in my head. Anyway, due to some unfortunate cursing this coming grab-bag (the 26th/27th,) my dear Mr. Dalton is going to be revisiting his past as a starved, disoriented, very agitated vampire... and since he's in a City full of people who aren't dead, his lack of self-control will very quickly become a problem. Because in Daybreakers, vampirism is easier to catch than a cold, and if he bites you you're out of luck. Well, for a while at least.

So, I am looking for SIX volunteers, split into two categories. There are some limitations, though, on who we can work with, just due to the mechanics of the canon...

☠ You must be human, or at least biologically similar to a human being
☠ You must be alive
☠ You must not have any kind of abilities or immunities that would prevent infection
☠ TWO people must be willing to have their characters bite and infect two other characters
☠ The other FOUR must be willing to be bitten by these two. I cannot guarantee you will be biting/bitten by someone of your choice though I will certainly try to accommodate all requests.
☠ There can be NO unauthorized biting/infection, outside of those assignments.

Yes, you will need to be one or the other. The exact circumstances of where and when the second generation is bitten will be worked out after I've got enough people. If necessary you're more than welcome to hand-wave the biting instead of playing it out, though I'd encourage you to at least work out a rough assumption of what happened together, for the sake of consistency.

The biters can only infect their 2 assigned partners; the bite-ees don't get to infect anyone. Since the plot only lasts a few days, we don't need to worry about anyone becoming a full-on Subsider, but if your bite-ee is disinclined to go for the bottled stuff, he or she might find herself pointy-eared and hallucinating after a while. There are ways they can satisfy that craving without infecting anyone else, but I will get to that after I've got my volunteers sorted out. Probably via e-mail so as not to clutter this comm any more than I already do.

Ultimately, once Frankie's curse wears off he'll realize what's going down and mobilize the City (...o-or at least try to!,) to help round up his accidental progeny, and will cure their infections. We can work that however you like; if your character would turn themselves in, great; if they like being a vamp and their friends need to bring 'em in, cool. If you want to arrange or assume someone took 'em down, it's all fine by me.

Please note that Frankie's immunity will not be conferred to your characters, and they'll end up after the physiologically the same as they began it. (Aside from, you know. Mental distress and soforth, maybe some new CR, whoknows.) Everyone will be cured by the first of July, no exceptions, etc etc.

Daybreakers vampires can go for a bit without feeding, and since the whole plot lasts less than a week I don't think anyone could get really, really sick. I'll be sending out more info on this once I get the list set but you could either play through some mild symptoms (pointed ears / hallucinations / general unbalanced sickness, mainly) or just arrange it to be bitten later and cured earlier, and wait out the shakes without too much problem? All the side-effects of not feeding should be cured when the character is cured though. <3

I'm a bit concerned that Peter-elli's abnormal genetics might make it tricky? :O I don't know Katniss' canon in the least but from what little I've heard she is probably fine?

If you think Petrelli would be able to be infected, I don't mind putting you up as an either/or, I just wanted to doublecheck because lol I watched v. little of heroes really XD <3333

But Katniss is definitely plain old human when you get down to genetics. Peter is not obviously but I think he'd be a decent other option now that he is no longer a power-sponge, more like...a revolving door 8/ and sometimes HIS POWER IS USELESS. WEEP. T________T SUCH IS LIFE...

Have you seen Return of the Living Dead III? I can see people acting like the fresh-turned zombie girl in the convince store - she's really hungry, biting into all kinds of mini-mart food trying to find something she likes and then spitting it out.

There's a certain amount of flexibility I think, as far as how people deal with the hunger and there are definitely ways to sate it that won't muss up the limits of the plot, but yeah. I should also mention (& will in my email!) that Daybreakers vamps can eat solid food, so if they want to stuff themselves with whatever's at hand that's fine. It might make them feel less physically hungry for a little while, but without blood they will start to feel sick after a bit. XD
