Because you can never play from enough quintessential 80's movies.

PRESENT

What's up, Poly? This is Rae and I'm here bringing in a new character, because two just feels so lonely. So please, say hello to Ferris Bueller.

This is one character I felt the need to make an actual FAQ post on Fourth Walling for, since he kind of fourth-walls himself all the time, so check it out here if you're curious. The short version is; yes, you can fourth wall him, but no, he won't fourth-wall himself quite the way he does in the movie. I need to take a few liberties in that respect to make him work.

So hover [livejournal.com profile] tenthsickday
or
friend add tenthsickday
at the admin console.

And please welcome him to the City.

Obligatory parade scene;

Intro post later.

PS: Yes, this means Wilson and Todd are now back 100%, too.

.........................

How were you pronouncing it?

[identity profile] a-silent-due.livejournal.com 2010-01-15 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Boo-eh-ller, as opposed to... Booler.

It's more of a Byul-ler. Like mule, really!

Noticing! XD It's weeeeeeeeeeeeeird for me, sob. I'd never seen anything from the movie, tho, just... saw the whole, " Anyone? Bueller?" thrown around a lot (and now I'm curious what exactly that reference that applies to - does he offer to do everything, or? )

....................XD

I always thought the shout out was along the lines of, " Oh, we need something done, won't anyone do it? Anyone at all? BUELLER? "

But your explanation makes, er, actual sense, orz.

Pffft, aww, oh, Ruxi.

Although, shortly after attendance, he asks a question for students to answer and when no one answers he goes "Anyone? . . . . . Anyone? . . . . . Anyone? . . .' for a while until the scene changes. Oh, Ben Stein.

So, tl;dr you should watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I believe.
