Carla is... I guess I will try to sum it up in as little tl;dr as possible.
Currently in actual Poly-land, she recently committed suicide, which is the 2nd time that she has died in her 'life.' The first time, she was shot and then Barbet (the ex) infected her with the zombie virus to keep her, since his life's work is maintaining zombies because he thinks they're beautiful. Then she made a wish on a ladybug that brought her back to 'life' but left her with a crippling self-hate/existential crisis that led to her more recent death. SO. AT THE MOMENT. She is city!Dead, and had been cooling her heels in the psychiatric ward of the hospital for a couple weeks. (She's not enjoying it. She pretty much agrees with Harry, she'd rather kill herself than be a zombie, except that doesn't really work here.......)
She's also been paying her bills bounty hunter/assassin style for a while now, and before that she worked for a local ganglord generally terrorizing the population. She's a sadomasochist who enjoys torture... Hurp.
I had sort of converted that into epic fantasy AU by making Barbet (the ex) the evil necromancer lord, who she'd been totally cool about working with until such time as he added her to his collection and destroyed her sense of identity and stuff like that, and has fled him for sanctuary (asylum) elsewhere. And as she's been working for him, she has pissed off plenty of people murdering their moms/dads/dogs/etc. She's kind of a shell of a woman now that Barbet's done with her though, and disinclined to really defend herself (one might even say suicidal..........) and has decided to leave Westorosthe Shire the City and flee out across the ocean.
She's also a rich brat, in her canon, which I converted to an amount of nobility here. She could get a knight or two out of that connection, possibly?
