As you may notice from his IC post, now that the City's back together, Neil's trying to get the play back on track. I never did manage to get OOC info up last month, so consider this the belated call for more player involvement!

The play is called Like Clockwork, written by the City's own Todd Anderson [

As of now we are still in need of two male main characters and two female main characters, and as always I would much prefer to fill those roles with player characters, because NPCing stuff is less fun. Since the structure of the play is so loose, we can also accommodate pretty much any number of minor characters / stage crew / etc, for those who'd like to get involved in a smaller capacity!

So, if you have a character who's interested-- or a character who needs to be cajoled-- please do hit up Neil's post and let him talk them into it!

IC he's scheduling auditions for Friday, but probably those will just be handwaved-- if there's any interest in playing things out I can throw up a log then. Let me know! ^^

Feel free to ask any OOC questions you've got here, or on the Play Post, where I'll be tracking and organizing from here on out~

Teddy could probably be convinced to take a lead role, especially if Neil got Billy to most of the convincing.

(If memory serves he cajoled like half to two-thirds of the cast of the last play they did into doing it. >> Which I remember largely because I made so many IC jokes about it.)

Well, Neil is pretty much an enormous ball of enthusiasm-- doubly so because this is Todd's play-- so he is definitely up for dragging people along ~~screaming and clawing~~ even if they're not entirely confident. ^^

Also he can threaten to make very sad faces if you say no? they are the saddest.

HMMMMM. I doubt Elliot would touch any sort of main part, but I could see him being dragging ~~kicking and screaming~~ into some minor part. Is Neil in need of a tree? Elliot would make a lovely tree. 8)

Sad faces are helpful! Cute kittens are even more so. Does Neil have any of those?

ahaha Teddy has a natural advantage when it comes to wardrobe and makeup, too ;3

Right now Neil has him slated for crew / minor parts, buuuut if there's no rush of interest Neil will definitely think to ask Billy for some help with the cajoling.

The beautiful thing about Like Clockwork is, since it's just kind of a plot sketch, we have a lot of room to make up whatever crazy minor roles we want! Neil will always be encouraging people to go bigger and bolder and grow as artists but indeed, small roles exist and are pretty much only limited by your imagination ;3

Neil doesn't have any kittens-- he has, um, a cactus? And roommates who can make EVEN SADDER sad faces.

I'm sure this is common knowledge, but Penny and Justin are completely up for whatever (even if they don't know it). I don't think Penny would be very good at acting. I could be wrong, but she doesn't seem the type.

Whereas I suspect that Justin has a knack for acting that he will DENY FOREVER. I would offer him up for Joseph, assuming he could be persuaded, which he could because honestly, Neil and Todd.

This sounds great. I do wish Sephiroth could be involved somehow, but it is hard for me to think of how to manage that plausibly at the moment. In any case, I love this idea!

Alternatively they can guilt Justin into that-- it might be weird for you to have two characters in the cast, particularly as mains? so basically I am fine with wheedling whichever way you prefer 8)

Fff. Penny really likes Rosella, so she could totally be suckered into acting. She'd get more into it than Justin would, I think, and Justin would be VERY pleased if he could do something that was not being on stage (especially now since he's full of angst about Euphie. Well. More full of angst than usual).

Really, whichever way is cool. Do you have any other actors/actresses?

Right now it looks like we have more interest from actors than actresses? The only fully-decided roles are Neil's and Rosella's atm, but Cain might be enable-able and Teddy might be enable-able so we could definitely use the lady if she's willing!

Poor Justin, he can help backstage if he'd rather. Or just cheerlead from the front row? <3

Then I would be more than happy to volunteer Penny as an actress! Perhaps she's better at acting than I thought. ^^

Well, it looks like the main male roles are spoken for, more or less, but since the play is of our own creation, we're flexible with roles and he could definitely be in the cast in a smaller role!

The more the better 8D
