AUGUST 9 - 10 - 11 | Do He Got the Booty? He Don't Anymore!
Avast ye, City! Today the City be transformed into a harbor-side town--and a harbor-side town that has more than its fair share of pirates! Shiver me timbers! For three days, the City environment will be transformed into a pirate paradise. The City and its island will open into a harbor and ships will abound. Characters are welcome to be pirates, privateers, or perhaps honorable sailors in the City Navy sworn to defend against pirates. Raids, boarding, and digging for treasure marked on maps with an X are all welcome. Characters can believe that they have always been pirates or they can find themselves caught in the midst of this madness. So run up yer sails and look hearty! Yo ho ho!

Gather lads and lasses all! This be the cursed planning post! Find yourself a crew to either defend the mainland and its riches as City Navy men and women or to go pillaging, plundering, rifling or looting as a salty sea dog. This is a wild, rugged curse. Feel free to build up AU background stories and connections. Name your ships! Forge your alliances! There's a fortune in gold for any man brave or fool enough to navigate the tides.
Those that do not wish to be cursed have two options!
The first is to witness all of the crazies that suddenly know how to sail and try to prevent them from getting scurvy or ride a long for the laughs and adventure with your modern day know how still in the un-cursed frame of mind.
The second, is a new development from the Anonymous Movement! In an effort to combat the curses they've found a way to project protective domes. While in the dome Citizens are uncursed. These domes are translucent and as large as an apartment building in square footage. While this is an exciting invention, it is not perfect. In order to be safe and uncursed in a dome a character must make a temporary sacrifice, either a memory to be wiped from their mind temporarily or sense of hearing, sight or touch. The domes will not interfere with the Network connection. Characters can stay in contact with others on the outside through the Network devices.
Characters are allowed to come and go from the domes as they please. Upon leaving a dome, the sense or memory that they sacrificed will return to them. But they will also find themselves cursed or, at the very least, dealing with the curse in general. Leaving the safety of the dome is up to them.
For this particular curse, there will be two apartment building size domes--one of them will be at the edge of the City in the 12 o'clock position, the other at 4 o'clock--that will pop up at midnight. Starting there, characters must find them. Be sure to bring supplies and get ready to get cozy with the other curse refugees that might be there. The protective domes will disappear at the end of the curse.
