Turns out I still can't quit this game, and I blame all of the lovely people in it who are just too good at enabling. So I'll be bringing back one VRISKA SERKET from that one webcomic HOMESTUCK.

For those that aren't familiar, she has a Typing quirk, in which she types in 8lue courier and replaces all of her 'b's and 'ate' sounds with the num8er '8' like so.

I know the quirks aren't everyone's cup of tea, so if you have any problems with it, whether it be the letter replacement or the color or both, please let me know over here at the castwide permissions post.

Hello!

I'm Marie, and this is Souji from Atlus's Persona 4, and we're both brand new to Poly. It's been a long, long time since I've let Souji see the light of a public RP game, so I'm very diligently trying to suppress the litany of 'ohmygodohmygodohmygod' that's playing through my head right now.

As for Souji -- he's a soft-spoken young man who makes friends with everyone and everything he encounters -- he exudes some kind of aura that makes people trust him. He's also something of an oddball: he reads sparkly vampire novels, eats his younger sister's science projects, and he's just as confident in a skirt and a braided wig as he is normally.

(And it should be mentioned -- Souji is a silent protagonist. I'm fortunate in that P4 gives us a shitload of context clues, not to mention the manga & the drama CDs, so generally he's not as silent as you'd assume. Still, interpretations differ, so forgive me if mine is a little upside down and/or sideways from what you're accustomed to!)

Hibari's been incredibly (and unexpectedly!) fun to play, and I'm really, really grateful to everyone who's played with him, because... I realize he must have been quite the challenge to tag and yadda-yadda-yadda, no, seriously, thank you. Especially to my awesome cast of, well, awesomeness ;; We will always have burning-zombie-tracks-filled-with-VS-supermodels-and-elvis-ministers-and-zombie-babies. Always.

Hey! Christy here with a new character. Okay, she's not really so new to me, as I played her here before, but that's beyond the point. Gwen Cooper has come back to the City! Everyone should go say hi, even if she's a bit pissy. After all, wouldn't you be if someone kidnapped you and dropped you in a weird city without your kidlet?

A quick note on Gwen; she has no memories of her former stay in the City, so consider this fair warning.

While chosenfake's expedition plot seemed to have been entirely fruitless - no way out, no new land, no alien species - the crew did bring back something in the end!

Micro-organisms. The kind that makes you ill! Lovely, right?

These little things are air-born and contagious, so it's quite possible that even if your character does not personally know any of the crew members that left for the expedition, they are able to catch this illness should you decide to opt-in. They are also far too small for City microscopes to catch, but the science-minded are welcome to try (in fact, it would be welcomed as an effort to find a cure!)

Symptoms

♥ Fatigue
♥ Headaches
♥ Runny nose and cough

Think of it like catching a wee cold or cute flu.

...but that's boring. So it gets worse.

Your character will then break out into a bumpy red rash all over their body. It is quite unlike what doctors have seen, and even healers can only seem to ease the symptoms under continual treatment. Progression of symptoms from bad to worse is up to the discretion of the player. Here is an example of what it looks like when it gets very deadly (warning: it's kinda gross! A realistic picture is available, too, upon request. Even ickier.)

This micro-organism is out of the deities' control, unfortunately, having come from outside the barrier. Is there a cure? Well, you'll see ♫

The event begins October 6 after the Pea Soup Propaganda curse. We hope to get everyone cured by around October 15!
