Thank you, everyone, for voting! The poll is now closed and...

CAPTAIN SPACE IS THE WINNER!

With the help of the Citizens (and maybe even the Deities--?) and their emotions and support, Captain Space has defeated the Space Witch in this epic dance-off of the ages!

In a blaze of rosy-golden light (which streamed from his fingers and, apparently, even his heart), he restored color even to Mother Monster. She fell defeated under the shining silver shoes of Captain Space and reverted back into a sort of gray primordial ooze, her original form. Captain Space collected this ooze in a sphere of golden light and launched it into the air, where it was blasted by one of the laser beams on the top of the Deity Office Building. (Unfortunately, this laser has very poor aim and may have ricocheted through the City for a little while in order to catch the last of the Space Witch's ooze.)

Her massive eggshell shattered into tons of multicolored, iridescent, glittering confetti which rained down on the City briefly and then evaporated. The Space Witch, the Mother Monster, may yet rise again and Captain Space's battles may begin anew. But, for now, she is defeated. Captain Space celebrated his victory with a victory dance based on the locomotion of the residents of certain lunar objects (yes, that).

And what of Captain Space then? The Deities have summoned him to speak to him about everything that happened--and perhaps to offer him a permanent place amongst them and to crown him as one of their own. He'll be going to speak with them. And, just after dark, a bright beam of light will be seen shooting up from the top of the Deity office building.

...so this might not be the last you'll see of Captain Space!

(Stay tuned for what the results of this poll will do for Poly's October! It's not as simple as it may seem~)

This concludes the Monochromatic Event! Please note that all the City's color has now been restored to its usual state. Individual characters, though, are welcome to have strange tinges of color in themselves in response to emotion for the remainder of September. Blue for depression, red for anger, whatever's clever. Have fun with that~

Thank you, everyone!
