6; On the Oregon Trail
The City has turned into a wild frontier! Did you bring enough water and food? Oh no, you've been bitten by a snake while trying to ford the river! And your oxen got loose! Will you ever make it to Oregon? [The urban center of the City will remain unchanged, but the forest surrounding the City will seem much bigger. The forest is where all cursed characters will be. Each map will show a straight Point A to Point B route for characters to reach Oregon...except all maps will be 100% wrong because the City is an island, therefore all maps will actually be leading characters in one giant neverending circle ♥ There will be a post on
poly_tldr for players to form wagon parties!]
As the curse says! Here is the post for players to form wagon parties. Your characters can wake up in these party formations
or wake up along the trail to be picked up later. Your character can be a master marksman or a sickly deadweight. Your character can be the best at rationing food or the worst at making sure it doesn't spoil. The sky's the limit! All wagons will come with one or two oxen
or if your character has an NPC pet, like a horse or an evolved pokemon, the NPC pet may take the place of oxen. You may also have your character affected in a way where they believe they have been on the trail for days, weeks, or even months.
Network Devices: They will function as normal, however! Beyond the Network Device, modern day technology will not be accessible to characters on the Oregon Trail. That means no motor-driven wagons, no electricity, no plumbing, no satellite positioning rocket launchers to take out buffalo, etc. Your character may use a weapon they already own to hunt but keep in mind a giant energy blast might completely obliterate an animal, thus leaving your party without prey and without dinner 8(b
Unaffected characters who enter the trail, whether because they're trying to meet affected characters or just wandering, will find themselves
unable to get back into the urban part of the City until midnight. They may want to join a party to survive, just saying.
We hope this covers everything, if you have any questions please let us know. And have fun!
Plus! This curse does carry a
Death Exemption so feel free to pull out the fevers, infected wounds, and of course dysentery.
