This is a bit of a long post, but- if you'd like to interact with an aspect of our City here, and want to do something potentially fun and exciting with your character, any character, make new CR, explore your character's worlds, etcetera... please red on!

Over the last few months, Nemu has been focusing her research on possible routes of escape from the City, with inspiration from the since departed icingkills. Joining her in research and, culminating in an escape attempt, are blastiafreak, elevatorkick, eagleofautozam, and overreached! (Let's get a round of applause!)

But wait- you heard me say "escape attempt"? Yes, that's right. That attempt is not only not going to work as planned... it's going to backfire in a way that can affect any character you might wish it to! (Or alternatively, it's also really easy to avoid if you'd rather not deal with it beyond: "Oh something's up with the fountain!") Interested?

So!

Who: Nemu, Rita, Eagle, Arthur, Lightning... and then YOU!
What: Escape attempt gone awry leading to shards of the city fountain which hold false visions of different worlds needing to be retrieved!
When: The experiment will be done on the very beginning of the 1st of Jan., so the plot will run 1/1 to 1/5!
Where: All around the City!
Why: - for plotting and fun times of course!

Another post will go up tomorrow for organizing shard worlds. So you'll be able to fill out a form and post it in comments giving details about your character's home world, and what, in that shard, the "lie" would be. Then people can reply and ask to find that shard, ways to get out of the shard can be discussed, etcetera! You don't even have to have to have your character be trapped in a shard- you can play the part of a character who's world is in a shard, and can help a trapped character from the outside! Opportunities are endless.

So what is this post for? Questions! If anything here is confusing, (and sob I can see how it could be), feel free to ask! "Can we do it like this", "So would this work as a lie?", "How about--"... anything! ASK AWAY and we'll be glad to clear anything up for you!

They don't even have to notice that something is up with the fountain if they don't want to (maybe they're busy away from the center of the square for a few days). Just letting everyone know that I will be on hiatus from the 1st of January till around the 25th of January, due to going to London on holiday... well, and to visit family, but that is a secondary priority really :| lol anyway, I will still be around commenting, though it will most likely be very sporadic, because my attention span shortens even more when I'm overseas.

CALLING ALL MINOTAURS

So, the all ways, hallways, always curse on the 31st lets characters get hopelessly lost in endless SURPRAIS!labyrinths. The overall architecture of these mazes is such that they are all connected, so it's a-okay to have people meet up as they explore, if you want them to!

We figured citizens' WTFery might not reach critical level based off just that, so - care to offer your character's projection as a labyrinth apparition?

These projections would be mute manifestations of characters who are already stuck in some part of the labyrinth, and they would be around as NPCs to troll other explorers. You can provide a loose idea of how your character's projection is likely to behave in a comment to this entry (ex: "the Tickler's projection will probably try to catch you in a corner and bite your head off!"), if you decide to go for it. Projections can look anywhere from a desaturated version of the character, to a very faded out one, or to an outright shadow of them - so be sure to put down if you have a preference! Just no 100% clones.

RULES OF PROJECTION:

o1. projections can touch things or pass through them, as they choose to
o2. projections can't access a network device; it's up to the projection-char!player whether specific projections can be caught on camera
o3. projections and the character off whom they hail shouldn't be able to interact > )

I've had a lot of fun over the last few years, but I just can't keep up with Poly anymore. So as of tonight, Ikuto is leaving the City. Like some kind of mossy sort of growth, I am seeping back into the game after a largely unannounced but almost complete hiatus. My apologies all around; the holidays have been insane, and work has been particularly insane (do you know how bad it is for production when account services and traffic have a reorganizational upheaval? i mean, if you understood the question? ARGH)

THAT BEING SAID. I will probably still be slow as things have not quite settled at work, but I'm trying ever so hard to worm my way back into activity and will soon be out there looking for new CR to counter recent departures. >>;
