MORTAL POLYBAT PREP POST

Heeeeeeeeeey, y’all, Dec. 7 marks the beginning of our lil sing along – the Twelve Fighters Fighting !

Cursed characters will find themselves in the Xanadu gardens battlefield, duking it out for the title of last man standing – or at least, for the privilege of doing some ass-kicking. Their fights will be transmitted over the network, leaving their sponsors to gamble on the winner send love, tips, or tokens of help (supplies, weapons, "LOSER" stickers, you name it!), via NPC messengers. Given their history of faithful service, we recommend the City Droid Squirrels.

Xanadu itself notoriously defies time, space, and logic, so it will offer enough room for all our bloodthirsty champions. Several areas will change their ecosystem randomly, so you can have your character fight in a dessert, or a swamp, jungle, ice realm, etc. At the core of Xanadu, characters can find a pile of weapons of mixed origins.

To clarify, there IS a death exemption for this event.

So, in this post, you can do three beeyooteeful things:

o1. List your characters' roles. If you’re setting them up to be:
f i g h t e r s: try to put down a line or two about their abilities, or fighting strategy, so sponsor-types can know what to look for. If you need to, in order to get a particular match result, you can also tone down / cap your characters’ powers.

s p o n s o r s: maybe put down the kind of fighter they’re likeliest to sponsor? ( ex: "HAS TO PRAY TO THE CAKE GOD BEFORE EVERY KILL," or "Must not torture," etc.)

o2. Coordinate who sponsors whom! If necessary, one person can sponsor more than one fighter, and a champion can be sponsored by several parties. Aim for at least one sponsor / champion, tho, mix it up! Sponsors needn’t be influenced by their previous friendships, but also by whom they think is likeliest to win, win, win > )
o3. If you want, you can settle some fights? See who takes out, or attacks whom, what the outcome is, etc.

Drop
I'm sorry, Polyites, but unfortunately I'm going to be dropping Stork and thus bowing out of the game. NaNo, as it turns out, couldn't be blamed for the fact that I just can't keep up with the awesomeness of this game. Thank you to the mods for letting me try the hiatus, and especially to Stork's friends for keeping the poor guy sane while he was here. He'll miss you all and think about you while piloting happy skies in Atmos again. ♥

Hello Poly! I'm Juli and this isn't my first time in this game but it's my first in a long while. I used to play Buffy Summers here for a while, along with Molly Walker and a few others, but since there are a lot of new faces - hello! You can reach me at so pledged on AIM, and please don't hesitate to hit me up for random things.

I'm bringing in a new pup: Percy Jackson from the series of the same name. He's a demigod (three guesses who his dad is) with powers over water (and similar things) and oh...this very small prophecy that he'll either destroy or save the world when he turns 16. Other than that he's your reckless, rebellious, hot-headed hero-type who does stupid things and loves junk food like no other.

He'll be debuted um...sometime? I'm in the middle of finals right now (oh dear lord kill me now) but study breaks/procrastination fodder are always welcome, so who knows?

Thank you and good night!

edit: please friend-add sonofposeidon? It's been a while since I've been in a journal-based game.
