I had to do this once before, and it's not any more fun the second time around.

Sherlock Holmes is a big, difficult, wonderful, involved, involving, fascinating character. He takes a lot of energy to play right, to get entangled, to get disentangled, and to have solve things. He's hard work. And, as much as I desperately love him and love playing him, I just don't have the energy or the time to devote to him that he needs. I've been slipping on activity and failing on commenting around. And I had the same problem last spring when I dropped him for the first time. I love him and his voice is strong, but I just can't play him as he ought to be played--not if I want to play any other characters at the same time. So, once again, I'm afraid I've got to ask you to

Thank you so much to everyone who played with him--both times. And a special thanks to the Building 2 Irregulars. I'm sorry that getting the Irregulars together took me so long (that was probably the first sign to me that I was slipping) and that I couldn't do much with the idea, but thank you for playing along. The Irregulars probably got a bit of payment before Holmes vanished too--something shiny and monetary as thanks for their help. I'm glad I got to play him--and not once, but twice. I don't want to drop him, but I need to, before I really fail with him and his intense characterization.

Holmes will be leaving today--probably while out on a walk, or perhaps he'll vanish from his flat--and will find himself back in the Great Hiatus.

So, goodbye, Mr Sherlock Holmes. Watson's gone before you. And it's almost time to go solve the mystery of the Empty House.

School is kicking my ass. I mean, literally kicking my ass. Coming down to a school vs. me fight, I'm losing 10000000-0. I thought I could keep up, but apparently that's when senior year decided to throw a bunch of stuff at me and go NO! >:

So I guess this is goodbye for now, Poly. I've been here for almost a year come December, and it's the most fun I've ever had in the game - it's also the longest I've ever been in a game. I've met some of the best players I've ever seen, and I hope that I've gotten better as a writer and a roleplayer as well.

I've met some of the nicest, friendliest, funniest people I've ever met online here, which is why I've been putting this off, finally having to kick myself to get this done. Like ripping a bandage off. Apologies to castmates/anyone they interacted regularly - apologies to Xerxes' player! I was really looking forward to their interactions.

Well, folks. It's that time again! No, not the Wheel of Morality time. It's moving season for me. Hey, at least I'm staying in the same state this time. That means hiatus so I can pack and start moving tomorrow. So between work, packing, and moving, I'm not entirely sure how active I'll really be. Not to mention I've been failing at the activity this month anyway, so you probably won't notice much difference. This may have to be extended depending on how long it takes us to get our utilities switched over, but I'll give a head's up if that happens.
