Just a quick note to say that I'm pretty much settled in my new way of life here in the US as well as college. So that means I'm off hiatus!

... well, okay, obviously my hiatus has been off for a few days now. POLY, WHY CAN'T I QUIT YOU.

Holly [captainshort] has been around, as I'm sure you've noticed, but Ginny [7thborn] is still not back in the City.

I'll be bringing her back sometime this week or this-coming weekend!

Trailing on the heels of a certain falling shiningdown, Tristan Thorn will be flying into the City.

...Okay. Not really flying, per say. Falling is more like it, as seems to be a common practice with Stardust characters.

This isn't your end of the movie Tristan, so he still has a horrible haircut and rather prominent stutter. A dork he may be, but at least it's somewhat endearing? More specifically, he's coming from early on in the movie - while he's still in transport after using the Bubbling Babylon Candle. (aka, this nifty candle which takes you to wherever you think of) This mean he hasn't met Yvaine or really set of on his journey in Stormhold.

He'll probably be falling on a person. Because that's just how he rolls.

SO please friend add gazingup at the admin console or hover. Also, if you're ever looking to log or action post with him, I've set up a post. Soon I'll get one up for all my characters.

NOTE: ❂ Tristan won't be arriving until sometime near the end of the week. Need time for more icon harvesting/making. (People really do hate this hair cut.) ...Also, more Stardust = love. A Captain Shakespeare would be amazing.

He's a pure blooded vampire who can make other vampires kill themselves if he so pleases, but he wouldn't do that in the City unless you endanger the life of his precious girl.

'Oh, I'm not particular as to size,' Alice hastily replied; 'only one doesn't like changing so often, you know.'

'I don't know,' said the Caterpillar.

Alice said nothing: she had never been so much contradicted in her life before, and she felt that she was losing her temper.

'Are you content now?' said the Caterpillar.

'Well, I should like to be a little larger, sir, if you wouldn't mind,' said Alice: 'three inches is such a wretched height to be.'

'It is a very good height indeed!' said the Caterpillar angrily, rearing itself upright as it spoke (it was exactly three inches high).

'But I'm not used to it!' pleaded poor Alice in a piteous tone. And she thought of herself, 'I wish the creatures wouldn't be so easily offended!'

'You'll get used to it in time,' said the Caterpillar; and it put the hookah into its mouth and began smoking again.

This time Alice waited patiently until it chose to speak again. In a minute or two the Caterpillar took the hookah out of its mouth and yawned once or twice, and shook itself. Then it got down off the mushroom, and crawled away in the grass, merely remarking as it went, 'One side will make you grow taller, and the other side will make you grow shorter.'

'One side of what? The other side of what?' thought Alice to herself.

'Of the mushroom,' said the Caterpillar, just as if she had asked it aloud; and in another moment it was out of sight.

Caru here, back in the Victorian era yet again. Ah, at last ♥ And a little closer to home than usual. You see, the real Alice, Alice Liddell, eventually married a man with the last name of Hargreaves. And I am entirely serious about this. That's actually why Kaori Yuki chose it for Cain's last name. It's all so vaguely headcesty as to be canon--for Cain at least.

Alice also does whatever the local cuisine tells her to do, keeps changing shape, was recently made a queen, has also recently found herself back on the right side of the looking-glass, is seven and a half, and is the original loli.

As a side note, I am using Alice from Disney's Alice in Wonderland as my PB for this Alice (because there are a ton of icons with a lot of good facial expressions), but this Alice as I'm playing her is book canon--and I highly recommend the books if you've never read them. Although, I really like The Annotated Alice, which explains all the details and references that are so easy to miss in this day and age.

I'll be bringing her in this afternoon. I'm looking forward to playing her with everyone! She's the first girl I've played in years, and the youngest one too.

Hiatus time for me, now through the 23rd, for school and family related stuff. I'll finish up what threads I've started and might be back sooner than that, but in case I'm not, that's about right, hopefully. Otherwise, if there's something you'd like backdated just lemme know, I'll still be around C:

September wants to kill me, I really think it does. Not only do I have major work-stuffs happening, but my BFF's getting married and there be the uber-cool, always awesome Fantastic Fest on the horizon,.

So, to save my sanity, I will be semi-hiatused for the month of September, going into "full" hiatus from the 10th-13th (wedding) and about the 22nd to October 2nd (Fan-freaking-tastic Fest).

TL;DR Wedding + Fantastic Fest = Dawn is going bye-bye for September.
