I'm back, though less back than I wanted to be since none of the neighbors are used unsecured wireless anymore and my mother needs to use the family computer soonishly but still.  Conference over, term paper turned in, sleep finally had.  (Conference was in Florida, so I got to learn exciting vision science and hang out at the beach, all on the university's dime.)  I've been somewhat following along and trying to get caught up, but if there's anything I should know about or any plotting you want to do, drop me a line here.

You may have noticed Jaime is already tagging around a bit (and cursed yesterday).  Don't think anything plot-like was going on with him, except he is secretly geeking out over the new Star Trek characters, and being slightly ahead of our world timeline-wise (I think, DC chronology is one of those things that gives you a headache if you think about much) he's already seen the movie (and his mun will have, after tomorrow).  But he's trying to keep his glee to himself.

Dr. Horrible is going to post eventually, but right now he's still trying to be Billy as much as he can.  Will get to tagging Penny re: dancing soon.  Members of ARTEMIS: is the heartless plot happening?  I'm very up for it.

Dexter is coming back updated to season 2 episode 5, "The Dark Defender," ( and is spoilery if you haven't seen season 2 )

Dehiatusing, since it seems like my brother is stable now, and stuff.

Only real pertinent thing to say is that improvements are being made and recovery is expected to take a while, but everything is taken care of.

As for now, I am going to de-stress! I am up for shenanigans and general mischief.

Now that's out of the way, I'd like to introduce you to Mara Lesser. Because I'm crazy like that, I decided to try an OC this time around.

For those into TL;DR OC apps, you can read all bout Mara HERE. For those who aren't, here's the bullet points.

• People can't die of old age in her world, they go insane instead.
• ...unless they're killed (or "Released" in local parlance) by a Reaper.
• Mara is a Reaper.
• She's scared of her job.
• She does the whole sex and drugs thing to cope.

I'll be intro'ing her later, but first a request. Part of being a Reaper means that Mara can ID the dead or about to die on first contact, and that includes City!Dead. But because I have no idea who's City!Dead, I have no idea who to have Mara flip out at. So if you are City!Dead or terminally ill, can you drop a comment HERE? I loves you forever.

Edited to add: The undead count, so if you don't have a pulse I'd appreciate the comment. Also - Mara can only sense status as is, so if you were dead and made a deal to comeback that doesn't count.

Otherwise, do the hover and add or the Admin Console friend add cry_reaper thing. Also? Bring on the cowbell jokes because, Poly?
