She's just coming from the end of the latest book: House of Many Ways. (If you have not read it and you have the remotest interest in fantasy, I highly recommend it.) Light spoilers may abound, so if you don't want to know, drop me an OOC note and we'll work around it.

ATTENTION ALL TRAITORS

In an effort to reclaim her missing wand, Jadis is invoking her right to the lives of all traitors, as per the laws of Deep Magic. And she'll be taking those lives now, thanks.

What this means is that I'm looking for about 5 volunteers to undergo execution by Jadis. To volunteer, the character MUST meet these criteria:

-- Has committed an act of betrayal sufficient to brand them a traitor
-- Is willing to become "city-killed"
-- Can be killed by a sharp metal object (i.e. a knife)

I don't know the canons of a lot of the characters here, so I'm counting on anyone who volunteers to be sure that their character background fits the profile.

The executions will begin later this week and take place over the course of several days. I'll work out the details with each player, and of course 24 hours later the character will revive but be City!Dead. ETA: The character can be one that's already City!Dead as well.

Police Force folks: I'd like for Jadis not to get caught just yet, as there's more plotting afoot, so these attacks won't be traceable back to her for now. But please investigate away, and I'll be happy to coordinate anything with you that you like to keep the police in the loop.

For its debut, the Grand Stadium is dressed in pennants, wreaths, and torches, signifying classical bouts by chariot or the sword. Break out your shields, axes, spears, maces, and lances for a true battle. The Stadium is ready for a martial game to please your lord or lady, or yourself. Sand and dirt cover the floor, the better to soak up the blood. Stadium nurses are on standby of course, but whoever said the City plays by the book? Whatever the crowd wants the crowd gets, and sometimes that really is entertainment over ethics.

[Anachronisms like fencing or weaponry outside of Greco-Roman culture (ie. a katana) are allowed. Make fantasy weapons like a snake sword work at your own discretion.]
