Yeah, it's time. I've been seeing way more people doing complete drops today than should ever have happened, some hiatuses, too. I was confused as to WHY this was happening on this particular day, and wondered if it had anything to do with the curse. I'm on AIM, discussing this, and someone tells me it's because of the anon thing. I was shocked that I was right; that a curse could result in this. ESPECIALLY right before HMD.

GUYS. THIS IS NOT ANOTHER DROP POST.

THIS IS ME TELLING ALL OF YOU OUT THERE DO NOT DROP BECAUSE OF THIS!

Hiatusing is fine, but this is ridiculous. If there are issues with muns, take it up with muns, and try to work things out. EVERYONE THAT I HAVE INTERACTED WITH SO FAR HAS BEEN REALLY FREAKING NICE. AND PEOPLE HAVE OOC CONCRIT FOR A REASON. If they don't? CONTACT THEM.

Seriously, when people go anon, they wank, and more anon breeds more wangsting. The best course of action is honestly to stay, and maybe hiatus, maybe even re-set the character. Work stuff out. I promise it'll be worth it, because no one likes these bad feelings. AND EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO IS REALLY UPSET ABOUT ALL THIS. Anonymous people might be bitches and bastards, but they also might be really nice, just caught up in a rant-y moment.

Okay? Okay. This isn't mod-approved or anything, and might not be in the right place, but honestly? At the moment I don't care. This doesn't need to happen. You guys are all awesome.

I'm honestly so sad to do this. Some may have seen it coming, some it may see to be coming out the blue but either way I really need to do this. So all I can ask is for forgiveness, I hate that it's come to this but it must be. When you're panicking about a post in a comm you love it's time to call it quits.

Thank you for everything. To everyone who made my time with the characters I'm dropping enjoyable, on whatever level, thank you. I wish I could keep them all but it's not fair at the moment. The voices are far from gone but the energy for here is drained. Still going to be lurking around on Burn but for the most part, sorry, it's been fun but you gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe some point in the future they'll return, but not for now. Sorry again.

Getting this in now as it seems to be the season for it:

Mazikeen was my first character in Poly all those months ago and I don't really want to let go of her for sentimental reasons if nothing else. But the muse has faded so much that all I've been able to use her for is curse based comic relief, and I love the character too much to do that to her.

Cori will find himself with a small collection of specimen jars containing an odd rusty looking powder and labelled with the names of certain people in the city. Also a collection of unusual skins, and a dagger with the skull of something unidentifiable set into the handle. Lucifer and Ishiah keep custody of Lux.

I'll still be around to post and comment, but I just don't have the energy to keep completely on top of things right now, and I feel terrible for missing posts that my character should be tagging, or dropping tags long before they're done. So expect me to be slightly slower with Rose, Ishiah, and Giselle, and please forgive the TL;DR.

This weekend I'm losing my con virginity at Dragon*Con, which means little to no time for internets. At most I'll be checking email and grabbing abandoned tags, which also means missing HMD this time (crit post with anon and screening is linked on my profile page, I beg people to consider using it).

So I'll be effectively hiatused Thursday through whatever time Monday I wake up from my coma. Any of you other folks heading to Atlanta this weekend can possibly catch me stalking Gareth David-Lloyd around the Torchwood and Ghost Hunters sessions -- I'll be the chick looking panicked and lost. And possibly toting a baby while I help my bff with nanny duties.

Hey there folks!

John here is a bit of a research nut, mostly because knowing all about weird things is what kept him alive for such a long time. In a place like the City he's already begun to take some notes on the residents and is recording them in a journal (the hand written kind) just like he did back in his world.

What does that mean? He will be watching you, City. And recording what he sees. I don't plan on having him record anything that he doesn't gather either from the guide or what he sees himself in open entries. John is a very, very smart guy at putting 2 and 2 together but I'm going to try hard not to infomod with him. If you don't want your character recorded in his journal or you think I've added some info that would not be known from just reading normal entries, please let me know. Also, John will not be writing down any 4th wall knowledge in the journal, even if he does know something about the character from pop culture (because that would be assuming, and John would never do that).

His journal can be found here. There's already an example of two entries and it gives you an idea of what the rest might contain.

Again, if you don't want your character to have an entry for some reason with information that's obtained from reading their posts on the network, let me know.

Apologies for the second post, here; I'd have edited my previous one but it's pretty far back on the flist, now.

Not a drop, here- just a note that as opposed to staying in the City for the duration of my hiatus, Lucy here will be going home for that timespan. There'll be no canon update or anything, as she doesn't have any to update her to now yet, so she'll just be home for like.. idk a month-ish? her time before getting pulled back to the City. Hiatus plans for myself have not changed.

Thanks to a possible hurricane (yay for living in New Orleans), I'm taking an impromptu trip out of town, starting... the day I was going un-hiatus. Haha, OOPS. I mean, it's not an evacuation or anything, just extra incentive to take a trip I was sort of waffling on. A pre-evacuation evacuation!

ANYWAY, trip + new work deadlines = longer hiatus. I'll be back September 6, at the earliest.

Poly is very important to me... it's my first RP community, and I just don't know how else I can make things right.

But please believe me; I'm really, very, truly sorry to everyone I've hurt, inconvenienced, pissed off, and etc. Please know that I never meant to be a burden to anyone... And I hope one day, you would all forgive me.

I hope Poly continues to grow, with more players than ever. Thank you everyone for teaching me how to become a better player and a better writer. Thank you to all the wonderful crews of my pups. I will continue to admire the veterans of Poly, and I hope one day, I can get the chance to play with you all again.
