There was a few kinks in things (first-time con and all) but overall it was a ton of fun--my first time cosplaying was a blast, Kris, Manda and Sami are all absolutely lovely to hang out with, we went to the Mall of America dressed up in "modern-day" cosplays of Poly characters (no, really, we did, and oh the stares made me laugh--I'm going to try to have pictures up soon) and Luci Christian is an absolute doll. Hi everyone! Christy (Griffin/makesacrifices mun) here, hoping she can keep up with more than one character at a time. I'm trying my luck with Mystique of the X-Men fame!

I went movieverse (sorry comicverse guys flkjaskljfd), because while yes, I do ; ; used to read the comics..... it was waaay easier to rewatch three movies instead of rereading decades of storyline etc etc before writing up my app. Also my comic collection, RIP, died with my computer crash last year and I haven't had the heart to redownload it yet, baw.

Hiatus time! I'd say full, but I know myself too well, so I just know I'll be sneaking on after con days to try and check the f-list, (If I have wireless, that is D:), so I'll still be around to try and assist on applications and to drop in on v. important posts for my characters, but MOSTLY I will be utterly gone for Otakon, and that's starting the day after tomorrow, the 7th, until at least Monday, the 11th.

What does this mean for you?

It means that Friday evening and Saturday, Crowley's going to salmon bot the Network.

Specifically:
1. You sign up here if you want to between now and Friday 3:00 p.m. PST. Please sign up only with characters you plan to have post on Friday or Saturday, since I'll need their post to work with.
2. I compile a list and randomize the pairings.
3. You post with the volunteered character.
4. Crowley, in salmon disguise, posts in the two paired journals, linking between the two.
5. Your character follows the link, responding to the "salmon's" comment but actually posting in the other character's journal.
6. If you've ever been salmon botted, you can see where this is going.
7. Crowley sits back and reaps the confusion and annoyance.
8. Characters get to wtf!interact.
9. PROFIT!

Example:
Bugs Bunny posts a standard journal entry.
Taz posts a standard journal entry.
The "salmon" hits Bugs asking "What are you wearing?" and linking to a placeholder post the salmon made in Taz's journal.
Bugs posts in Taz's journal responding to the placeholder saying, "I'm naked."
Taz, as is typical with the salmon bot, doesn't see the salmon placeholder, and thus only sees Bugs popping in to say, "I'm naked."
WTF ensues.

Although I wish I could say I was going to Otakon, I'll instead be on the other side of the country visiting my relatives and getting some sun (lol no rly) on a much needed vacation. I'll be gone from the 7th to...let's say the 12th (just because I have no idea how burned out I'll be after my flight back).

Nanami (sisknowsbest) will be looking after Riou while he's unconscious and generally ignoring the network during that time. Should the need arise, Riou-mun may godmod as needed (oh my god, I know I've been working too much when I almost put "prn" instead of typing out "as needed" *crawls into hole*) when she gets back.

After which, I'll be on somewhat of a semi-hiatus for awhile, because I'm starting a new job, so I have to ease out of my old one and into my new one. Hopefully won't be much of a difference, but just in case. :>

Hey guys. I haven't been around much lately, and that's because I'm kind of dealing with some stuff right now, so I need to be taking a full hiatus. I'm not really sure how long I need so I'm going to just say it'll be a month...to be safe. I'd rather overestimate than underestimate.

She will return once I get my laptop back, which should be Saturday. Her posts shouldn't contain too many (obvious) spoilers, and I'll put a warning on them if they do.

Second, I'm going to re-start Kaoru. Her muse has been really quiet, and I haven't really liked the way she has developed in the city. Hopefully a re-start will get her back on track. She too will come back when my laptop is fixed.
