While HMD continues to load up and slow down...feel free to spend some of that time discussing potential plots and other shenanigans for this Sunday's curse!

27; Reruns and Syndications
As if taking a walk on the other side wasn’t enough, citizens now have the chance to relive that pivotal moment, or any other meaningful moment in their life! By City standards of course. And just to spice up the mix, those who relive such moments may not necessarily be reliving their own. [Players can pre-arrange scenes and situations on poly_tldr for those who would like to swap reruns.]

Memories can play out in nighttime dreams, in daytime hallucinations, or in realtime reenactments depending on what characters are available. In all situations, the character reliving someone else's memory can realize something is wrong immediately yet be unable to change the course of their own actions or the character can believe the memory was always a part of their own history and carry it out in a way that still replicates the original. The nature of the curse will not automatically disclose the sources of the memories at the end of the day so it's up to the characters to unravel the mystery!

And a question! Just to clarify, are characters allowed to relive more than one moment?

It's barely angsty at all and weirdly enough I see the Charlie I play doing something like this now.

They were in an airport, kind of taking a break from running. They weren't flying anywhere so they just walked in and sat down and after her dad used his mild telekinesis to break the phone in the phone-booth, Charlie overhears the conversation between the soldier and the girl. And then all that fun.

FOR SOME REASON EVERYTHING I AM THINKING OF IS HORRIBLE AND PAINFUL AND TRAUMATIC, AHAHAHA

A little less so for illgrowoutofit, who I think I'll just have angsting on his own about stuff from back home.

THE REST OF MY GUYS ARE UP FOR TRADE IF YOU'D LIKE. If there are no takers, they'll just experience these things themselves.

This kid right here happens to have a particularly potent memory of FALLING FROM A WINDOW. (Actually, he was pushed OUT of it, but he only remembers the falling.)

is_was_willbe remembers a lot of crazy things... I'm fond of the ideas of bringing into play either slowly being immersed in lava (and then saved at the last minute), or actually EXPLODING (in order to save the whole gorram world at the last minute).

dontcrashnburn has a super-fun little memory in the form of BEING PINNED TO THE CEILING BY UNKNOWN FORCES AND BURNED TO DEATH.

So yeah, there's those if anyone wants something particularly horrible.

Okay, so I totally overuse the dragon thing when it comes to primrosella and curses like this BUT YOU KNOW WHAT. Dragons are traumatic. And kind of stand out, memory-wise. But she's got plenty of other adventure-y brushes with death I could call on, so I've got a lot that I could possibly put at your disposal, including:

→ Climbing a set of steps in a mountain up into the clouds to face fiery death via dragon.
→ Being swallowed by a whale and escaping digestion via climbing its tongue and tickling it to make it sneeze.
→ Digging up graves in a zombie-infested graveyard.
→ Hypnotizing a cobra on a tiny marshy island in the middle of a death swamp via epic flute playing.

OR, for the less adventure-oriented:

→ Having a hysterical freakout/breakdown over the City being turned steampunk for the day, because Rosella hates machines.
→ Feeling incredibly awkward in a knee-length dress at a fancy gala because what are modern standards of dress and propriety.
→ TRYING TO CATCH A RUNAWAY UNICORN. You're safe, fortunately, thanks to your virtue as a maiden (or, er, boy-maiden). Your hunting partner might not be so lucky. :|

If a character is reliving a memory that involves pain, would they be able to feel it?

Well, I'm game-- though since the curse doesn't disclose the source of the memory it'd probably take some guesswork to connect Brian to his pastimes, and if confronted he'd deny it without a second thought... but, well, maybe they can work something out eventually.

How about a body? The setup would look like this; there wouldn't be a hanging body, but there would be a bloody basin underneath the rig. The body (a young, attractive woman) would be laid out on the table (where the wrapped piece is,) partially dismembered, wholly bloodless, slit throat but no other damage save the... you know, removed pieces, which would be in assorted state of wrapping etc.
The big tubs of blood are marked with dates, nothing else. There would be about half as many as in that picture. If for some reason Luke wants to check them out, they've got high levels chemical additives (blood thinner + preservative) which may or may not be apparent from the taste, I dunno how sensitive he'd be, but it's there.
