Where do I begin with this guy?

Alright, Polychromatic, you've seduced me with your friendliness and pure awesomeness. Have a Herald. 8D

I don't know how many of you have even heard of Mercedes Lackey (much less Vanyel Ashkevron). This lad is special. Not only is he a Herald Mage (meaning he serves the crown of Valdemar and is paired with a beautiful white, sapphire eyed lady who happens to look like a horse) but he is also shay'a'chern. Now, since I'm sure none of you speak Tayledras, I'll put that word in simple terms: Vanyel is gay. He is conflicted by his sexuality often and he lost his first love (and lifebonded) through a horrible series of circumstances. From the point I am taking him in his canon, he still hasn't healed from the loss of his beloved 'Lendel.

On top of the pain in his heart, he is dealing with the appearance of his Mage abilities. Before Tylendel died, he only had Mage potential. But, after he died, all of his magical channels opened at once causing him immense pain. He has only recently been relieved of that agony.
