This is probably one of the hardest posts I've ever had to make... but after weeks of deliberation I've finally decided to send Kenshin home. I've had him in Polychromatic since June 2007, well over two and a half years. Polychromatic was my first RPG ever, and Kenshin was my second muse--though considering he lasted longer I'll have to say he's my oldest muse too. I always said that the day I dropped Kenshin was the day I'd be leaving Poly... and it looks like that's the case, as he is currently my only character.
He's been through four Kaoru's, two Misao's, and one Megumi, Sanosuke, Soujirou, Shishio, Oibore and even a Kenji.
He's been married for over two years--with or without his wife--has been a moderately successful business owner (the building is still standing anyway--thank you Misao) and has managed to not kill himself despite the seeming constant need of medical attention (thank you for the assistance, Youko).
Overall... probably a pretty successful run.
But, that being said, he's been in the City for so long that there isn't a lot to do with him anymore and I've settled into this comfortable rut in which I do nothing but casually character squat--so the time has just come.
Ownership of the Tea Shop will pass to Misao and Ren--he would have put this into writing at some point--and considering he left the City a couple of times, it has probably been put to use already.
Orenji will go to Tohru, being the mascot for the Year of the Cat Fanclub--and just a good home and someone who really probably needs the kitty right now.
Kenshin is terrible with goodbyes--essentially he just doesn't say them, so there will be no notes or anything going around after his departure. In reality he won't even know he's going--because he would try to get other people out as well.
SO... it's goodbye for now, Poly. I've had one hell of a lot of good memories here, and I'm not going to forget them... and in all reality you're probably not rid of me forever--but for now, it's goodbye.
