When I was... A young bot... My father... Took me into THE CITY...
The new year may be happy yet, POLYchromatic!
If you'll take a look, all the ghouls that you helped herd into the stadium are on parade. After all of the citizens' efforts to corral them into the stadium out of the way, the Deities can take it from here. The ghouls will be marching (in uniform, no less, and with music) from the Stadium to the Drowning Pool south of the City. Come on, come on! Come see the parade!
But what's a parade without a few surprises?
This black parade of ghouls will be dropping--coins? Tokens? Yes! Grab one! Good luck trying to get more than one in your grasp! They part like opposing charge magnets. (How do they work?) These coins are curse-exemption tokens that can be returned to the Deity office in in exchange for a curse exemption or to escape a curse. Each coin can only be used once. Characters are allowed to collect only one coin apiece. Coins are transferable (so one character can give a coin to another, but only if that other character has no coins). Get 'em!
But, wait--what happens when they get to the Drowning Pool?
Just watch... The ghouls, hard-working things that they are, will be hustling all through the night pulling the Ruins up from the depths of the lake. (A few people may remember how those ruins once looked...and for what they were used.)
These waterlogged ruins will slowly emerge from the lake, finally breaking the surface on Sunday morning. The ruins will thereafter be the home of these newly-trapped ghouls as well as their new place of employment. Feel free to watch them at work, but don't get too close, as the ghouls are going to be all over those ruins for the next few days, getting them all fixed up (even through a blizzard? yes, even then).
But what does that mean? What will the ruins be used for? Well... STAY TUNED!
Thank you for all your ghoul-herding, Citizens! Any remaining ghouls will be rounded up over the next few days by City employees and brought to the Drowning Pool to help with the ongoing restoration.
Maybe the year will be happier hereafter~
