Ghoul Problems--?
Hello, POLYchromatic! How are you doing up against all those ghouls?
As you may have noticed, the Deities seem to be of two minds as to what to do about all these ghouls. What to do? What to do? Here's what your character can do:
Option one: Containment. GIT ALONG LITTLE DOGIES!! The ghouls, while monstrous, can be herded along--like very strange zombie cattle, if you like. The Deities (well, some of them, anyway) request that the ghouls be herded to the City Stadium (site of prior curses such as the "Hunger Games"-inspired curse, as well as gladiatorial combat and automobile races). The ghouls will be contained in the stadium for...certain reasons (more on that soon!). The Deities want these ghouls alive. M. S. Fice advocates this method.
Option two: Destruction. KILL IT WITH FIRE!! The ghouls, believe it or not, are actually quite flammable. Burning a ghoul will kill it nigh instantly and the ashes will blow away. Hit them with something flammable (gasoline, whale oil), hit them with a match, throw a firecracker at them, whatever it takes to light them on fire. Sure, they might stumble around while fully on fire for a second, but that'll stop real quick. The fire will consume them. The fire cleanses. And you can throw fire on them from a distance and avoid them completely! In fact, get a group of ghouls together and one on fire will light the others. An easy fix! Except...when those ashes settle... Oh dear... It would appear that the ghouls...are multiplying? Yes, like the Sorcerer's Apprentice's brooms, they just keep coming. (But you won't know this until you try, will you? Try it, try it!) The Deities want these ghouls dead. Prof. Dr. Laszlo Jamf advocates this method.
So that's two options for you--naturally, just destroying them as characters have been works too. But these are two Deity-sanctioned methods designed to quickly and easily solve the current problem of ghoul overpopulation. Because...it's getting serious, isn't it? (Yes. Yes, it is.)
Or you can just come and watch the Deities bicker. That's perfectly fine too.
